IN SCBWI is pleased to offer a series of roundtable events led by industry professionals in 2023 FREE of charge to Indiana members (you must reside in Indiana). This one is with agent Zabé Ellor of Jennifer De Chiara Literary Agency.
Zabé / Z. R. Ellor is a writer and lit agent from Washington, DC. He holds a BA in English Lit and biology from Cornell University. He is looking for YA, MG, and picture books in all genres.
How the roundtable works:
Attendees will submit the first 10 pages of a middle grade or young adult manuscript to Diane Bradley Kantor (indiana-ra (at) scbwi.org) by January 27, 2023 with “MG/YA Agent Roundtable” in the subject line. Zabé will provide written feedback which we will return to you before the Zoom roundtable on March 11th.
Attendees are asked to read the manuscripts of all 7 other participants so they might understand Zabé’s feedback for each person. They are not expected to provide critiques for anyone.
During the Zoom roundtable, Zabé will spend 15 minutes on each person when they can ask questions about the feedback.
The Zoom link to the event will be sent to you by 6pm the night before from ARA Alicia Novo ( indiana-ara (at) scbwi.org). Please check your spam box if you can’t find it.
Query opportunity
You will receive instructions on how to query Z.R. in an email that will be sent out to you along with a recording of the event by March 15, 2023.
